ANL advised that the frequency of their WPAC service will increase from 3 weekly to fortnightly through the addition of another vessel on to the trade.

The MV ‘Scion Mafalda’ will enter the WPAC service, with an ETA of 25 November in Brisbane and will accept cargo to ports in PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Following her initial voyage she will call all “usual” ports within the WPAC service thereafter.
The addition of the 3rd vessel will allow ANL to improve frequency to the alternately called ports of Townsville, Kimbe and Rabaul on this service from 6 weekly to 4 weekly, with all other ports to be fortnightly calls.
Additionally, it allows for a better connection for cargo ex North and South East Asia into the important markets of Solomon Islands and Vanuatu improving transit times and frequency.
