We had been struggling with our sea freights to Port Moresby and Lae from Brisbane which has always been a challenge to our operation. Most of the shipments did not meet our lead times which affected our stock replenishment and that created additional problems for our customers and Hastings Deering (PNG) as a dealer. It was then Bryan Hood (General Manager –Sales) from SEAFAST approached my office and asked me about our operations and how we were doing with our sea freight consignment and I told him about the challenges we face. After getting SEAFAST to do all our shipments from Brisbane to our Business Centres in Lae and Port Moresby we have seen quicker turnaround time with reduced lead time from 40 days to 25 days and our stock replenishment are up to date.
